Never Walk Alone

By Allen Lyle

None of us are ever REALLY alone. Allen Lyle explains how those who helped shape our current version of ourselves will always be walking with us no matter where we go.

TRANSCRIPT:

In 1945, the collaborative team of Rodgers & Hammerstein wrote the song, You’ll Never Walk Alone for the production of Carousel. It has been recorded by the likes of Frank Sinatra, Barbra Streisand, Elvis Presley, and The Righteous Brothers just to name a few.

You know, there’s a lot of truth to that statement, “you’ll never walk alone.” The very person you are today has been created by the sum total of your past experiences and the people who influenced you. Every smile, every tear, and every word from others molds us into who we are today. Even tough times and mistakes add depth and character. Some of the people who cross our paths leave gentle imprints, while others carve deep lines.

Each mark adds to our unique story. And remember, it's not just the smooth parts that make you beautiful, but it’s also every bump, every groove, every flaw, and every fault that tells the story of your journey.

Just as others have shaped who you are, you are now assigned the duty of shaping others.

What sort of mark do you think you’ll leave?
