National Pets for Veterans Day!

By Allen Lyle

This week, this is one of the greatest PTSD veteran therapy opportunities in our country! Celebrate National Pets for Veterans Day with Integrity Adjusters!

TRANSCRIPT:

Over the next minute, bear with me as I bare my soul and present to you the bare facts about the name, Bear.

Perhaps you remember Grizzly Adams, but don’t confuse him with Gentle Ben. His best friend was a bear, but if you think bears are scary then you should start hanging out with Yogi Bear, Pooh Bear, Baloo the bear, Paddington Bear, Smokey the Bear, Fozzie Bear, or just get yourself a Teddy Bear.

Look up to heroes like Bear Grylls, Bear McCreary, or Coach Paul Bear Bryant.

Have a snack of Gummi Bears and, if I’m already driving you nuts, just grin & bear it.

Why the bear-like focus? Because this coming Saturday is National Pets for Veterans Day. That’s right, Pets for Vets. And it all started with a dog named Bear. When Bear’s owner saw how her dog brought much-needed joy to veterans struggling to cope with their days after returning home from active military service, she knew that every vet deserved their own bear.

You can help by offering your time, your talent for training animals, or a financial gift to help match deserving veterans with animals who need a home and a new best friend to comfort and support.

Help our American heroes, our veterans find a companion pet. You can also visit a shelter and offer to pay the adoption fee for a veteran; and, collect dog or cat toys and donate them to a local shelter.

Veterans Day is close, but this weekend, celebrate National Pets for Veterans Day.
