Whether you are willing to admit it or not, here’s an ice-cold fact: We are all opinionated.
Now, that’s not necessarily a bad thing. Holding true to your core beliefs, especially those that uphold good moral and ethical standards, is very commendable. However, there’s a major difference between being steadfast and being mule-headed stubborn!
When moral and ethical standards are not being questioned, then there are times when you should be willing to consider a different opinion.
When we change our point of view, we can learn new facts and ideas. This helps us grow as a person culturally, socially, and mentally.
Changing our point of view helps us see how other people feel and think. This makes it easier to improve your ability to be empathetic.
Sometimes, looking at things in a different way can help us find new solutions to problems. It's like seeing a puzzle from another angle to find the missing piece.
As you travel down today’s path, you may come to an intersection or a fork in the road. Before going full-blown donkey, take off your blinders and be WILLING to consider a different point of view. You just may find it puts you on a better path to a wonderful destination.
